I just finished my battle axe saber but I was wondering. Is there a way to modify the melee mode so you could use the axe but without the saber coming out. Just so you could use it as an axe? Help? : ) I don't want to post it till I find this out : )

What do you mean? Do you want to make it like when you switch from saber to melee that the saber still apears and you can use it? Or do you want it to where when you switch that you switch from saber to melee it is still visible?  If you want the part where its still visible theres a mod in the works, http://www.lucasforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=124430          Go there to see the mod, its not out yet, its still in the works.

Well what I want is to yes switch to melee and still keep the saber and use it but instead of saber blade coming out to use it as an axe instead. Possible?

..... ok... i think i know what your talking about.. you dont want the saberblade.. the "glowy part" to come out..  in that case.. what you wanna do is put a few things in your sab file


noWallMarks 1


noDlight 1


noBlade 1


noClashFlare 1


trailStyle 2


noIdleEffect 1


parryBonus 1


onInWater 1


Putting these commands in your SAB file is what i usualy do..  (minus the spaces inbetween each command..


but i dont think that any of that will make it incorperate in melee

P.S. 


These commands will ONLY work if you have version 1.01 of JKA....  otherwise it will still show the saber blade.

k that helps. But still no way of doing all that but putting it into melee mode?

im 100% unfamiliar with melee mode :(  but... there is a saber mod outthere.. the one that puts flames on the hands and stuff.. i would download that and mabey do a little looking into the sab files on those..  i heard they are pretty cool too

It's WBA Fists of Fury. Also part of WBA+ Weapons for Melee Mod and works better, but it's a much bigger download.

I appreciate all the help guys. I think I will wait for the release of that mod because for the moment my clan is stead fast against adding anymore mods to the server because we are having some spring cleaning coming up to get our lag down a bit more. So after that I think I will go back and see what I can pull off : )
