I know I know. Questions questions :)

Keshire do you have a site or know of any that gives a good explanation of shaders and how they work. I have looked around the net but all I seem to find is an explanation of shaders in total techno language that I would need a com sci degree to understand : ) Any advice you have would be cool because I only have a rough idea of there functions

I'd recommend giving q3ace a look. It works just as good or better than shaderEd. But nothing compares to writing them out yourself. But thats asking a bit much of someone whose never worked with them before.

http://www.planetquake.com/polycount/cottages/qbranch/tutorials/shaders-2.shtml

http://www.heppler.com/shader/

http://shaderlab.com/q3map2/shader_manual/

http://ftp.fh-wolfenbuettel.de/links/idsoftware/idstuff/quake3/tools/Q3Ashader_manual.doc

That should be enough for information overload. I beleive Academy uses a few new commands but those can be found by goign through the shaders and looking for anything not already referenced.
