ext_data saber question for JA

Hey ho everyone. This is my first time poasting here, and I have a question thats been bugging me for some time now.

"How many sabers can you have AND use in Jedi Academy (both in SP and MP mode)?"

I have downloaded a bunch of sabers and placed them all where there suppost to go. However, not all the sabers can be used at all (even when using console commands).
I understand the game "reads" the base folder contents "alphabeticaly". So am I right in assuming that there IS a saber limit, so essentially JA is only loading the last of the sabers in the order they were listed?

If so, just what is the saber limit #?

Is the problem insted because of a saber-size limit in the ext_datasabers folder (like there is a NPC-size limit in the ext_datanpcs folder)?
So, as you can see I need help. HELP! Thanks again for reading this, and ANY help would be apreciated. Thanks again............
Elvencrest

And of course, "Live Long and Mod".

Thanks for the reply "Keshire", but do you (or anyone) know for sure if this is in fact the case?

In addition, is it based on the number of sabers total in the base folder OR is it insted based on the "total size" of the "ext_datasabers " folder within the assets1.pk3 (or any other ext_data.pk3 you/I may have listed after the assets1.pk3)?

Speciffic info is needed here as I've tryed nearly everything I can think of. Thanks again for the reply "Keshire", and any other help you or anyone else could offer would be greatly apreciated......

......"Live Long and Mod".......

There is NO way around it. It's based on saber name. Its defined in code that way. It could be changed but you'll start lagging the game whenever it tries to load them in the menu while changing your saber inbetween respawns. Sorry. Thats why people release them singly instead of in packs mostly. If it didn't have to load the actual model into the menu you could boost it up to 256 like the player models.
